Laura de Grinyo is the artisan behind LADIO Ceramics, founded in 2020. Laura grew up in Ibiza, which is where her studio is located, surrounded by pine trees and Mediterranean plants typical of the island. Her work stems from the origins of the pottery tradition of Ibiza, linked with a contemporary and organic aesthetic. She learned from master Adrián Ribas in his workshop in Sa Teulera, founded in 1945 by Juan Planells, Daifa, -one of the most popular representatives of the island's pottery culture.
LADIO Ceramics has been published in Financial Times, AD Spain, El País Semanal, Vanity Fair, Vogue Living, Arquitectura & Diseño, Elle Italy among others. Laura's works have been exhibited at Harrods London, alongside the Loewe collection, and at Milan Design Week, alongside the 1000 Vases platform.
About her work
‘In ceramics, patience, acceptance of failure, metamorphosis and trust in the process are constantly worked on. Something that seems as simple as mud can go beyond the physical, transcending its earthly value to remind us of where we come from.’
