Open Call 2026-2027
Balearic, Spanish and European call that is in two phases and promotes artistic mobility and exchange between different contexts
Ses12naus opens its 2026-2027 artistic residency call
The programme will select four projects by visual artists and curators from the Balearic Islands, Spain and Europe to develop a two-phase residency.
Fundación Ses12naus opens the call for its 2026-2027 artistic residency programme, aimed at visual artists and curators interested in developing projects in dialogue with the context of Ibiza.
Conceived as a space for research, creation and exchange, the programme accompanies the projects from an initial approach to the territory through to their development and public presentation. The residency is structured around two on-site stays on the island, separated by a period of remote follow-up and continued work.

Four projects
The call will select a total of four projects coming from:
- The Balearic Islands
- Spain
- Europe
The call is open to artistic and curatorial practices capable of establishing meaningful relationships with Ibiza, its communities, its imaginaries and its cultural and natural heritage.
A residency developed in two phases
Phase 1 · Research and exploration — Autumn 2026
During the first stay, the selected participants will have the opportunity to become familiar with the context of the island, begin their research processes and establish links with local agents, spaces and communities.
Phase 2 · Production, development and public presentation — Spring 2027
During the second stay, the projects will move towards their development and materialisation. This phase will culminate with a public presentation of the processes and results of the residency.
Between the two phases, the team at Fundación Ses12naus will actively follow up on the projects and provide support during their conceptualisation and development.
The 2025/2026 edition received more than 200 applications and selected the projects of Gala Knörr, Diogo da Cruz and Marina Marón. Their research, developed across two stays in Ibiza, addressed subjects such as club culture, traditional payesa architecture, and the temporalities inscribed in the landscape of the salt flats and the island's coastline.
With this new call, Ses12naus reaffirms its commitment to artistic research, mobility and exchange between practices and contexts, positioning Ibiza not only as the setting of the residency, but as an active part of the creative processes.
