New collaboration with Deixalles Ibiza
As part of the Something for an Island programme, Alban Le Henry led a workshop at the premises of Deixalles Ibiza, a foundation dedicated to the socio-labour inclusion of people at risk of exclusion through the reuse of materials and the circular economy. Throughout the day, we shared with their workers the full process of building the 'Island' chair — from the selection of recycled material and the reading of the blueprints to the cutting and assembly of each piece.
The aim of the collaboration is for the Deixalles team to be able to produce the chair autonomously and sell it through their own channels, generating income that flows directly back into their social mission.
