Presentation of the foundation

The Ses Dotze Naus Foundation presents its first artistic residency, Figueretes, at Can Bufí — a former carpentry workshop transformed into a space for contemporary art production and exhibition, and one of the foundation's main venues for encounter and exchange between artists and audiences.

Building on the biennial programme Ses12naus, initiated in 2016, the Foundation was established to bring the project to a new stage and strengthen its commitment to culture as a driver of change on the island. Over 8 weeks, 9 international artists will produce and present new work in dialogue with the island, its territory, and its community. Curator Linda Rocco has proposed developing a Manifesto of Presence, to which each participant will contribute through their artistic practice and the project developed during the residency.
